INTERNSHIP APPLICATION
BrainMind (brainmind.org), a 501c3 public charity, is hiring a team of motivated undergraduates to join our national Advanced Special Projects Team sponsored by Entrepreneur of Your Own Life. Team members will have opportunities to make significant contributions to the growth and development of startups and social enterprises in neurotechnology. Projects are designed to help students build their professional networks and realize their leadership potential as future entrepreneurs in STEM fields.
BrainMind is a vibrant neuroscience ecosystem bringing together the top scientists, entrepreneurs, investors, and philanthropists in seeking to accelerate impactful innovation within the science of the brain and mind.
Example Activities:
Building connections between brilliant neuroscientists and tech entrepreneurs
Writing about the current landscape of neuroscience startups and research topics
Helping to convene (and participating in) scientific salons in Boston and Menlo Park
Helping to prepare for BrainMind's national scientific summits
Strategic planning for BrainMind Global Neuroethics Initiative
Contributing to cutting edge knowledge on the neuroscience of meditation and other mental-wellness initiatives
Special Extras:
A 12-week curriculum focused on preparing you to become a successful entrepreneur or maximize your career
Personal development projects such as outreach to prospective mentors, conscious leadership exercises, career path exploration, and self-authored 5-year life planning
Intimate mentorship and Q and A sessions with leading entrepreneurs, clinicians, and investors in neurotechnology and beyond
Good-natured team competitions with silly prizes

Qualifications:
Undergraduate and 18+
Resourceful and self-motivated
Consistent curiosity, drive, creativity
Interest in business, health, and science
Eager to work in fast-paced environment
Willing to work with and learn from peers
Work-study eligible or resourceful enough to find a grant to support your nonprofit work OR be willing to volunteer
Position logistics:
Compensation available through the federal work study program for qualifying students OR through school-funded nonprofit scholarship programming where available.
Full time internship available for the summer
Live events are in-person year-round. Term-time internship is remote. Summer internship is in-person two days per week. Summer interns will need to be based in Cambridge/Boston.
